Utah DWR made significant changes for these units for 2016 by combining the hunting opportunity on any of these four adjacent units.
These units sit on both sides of the Colorado River in the classic red-rock country southern Utah is famous for. These units typically produce top end rams in the 150’s with an occasional 160”+ ram. They consist of some of the best desert sheep habitat in Utah.

Utah’s wild sheep population has increased from less than 1,000 to over 5,000 animals, in large part to the financial support of the conservation sheep permit auction program. Winning bidder is responsible for the additional payment of the appropriate resident or non-resident license fee for this species. Thank you for your support of Utah’s wild sheep program. Utah FNAWS is a 501(c)3 tax exempt charitable organization. Season dates: Likely- September 17- December 31, 2016.
