Unfriendly Neighbours Book - Chilco Choaten
The beginning of 1952, 16 year old Ted Choate said good bye to his family and friends and set out north for the Cariboo/Chilcotin Some forty years later he is still there. In the intervening years Ted-now best known as Chilco Choate-has had enough adventures to write a series of Zane Grey Style adventures. In Unfriendly Neighbours he recounts some of the highlights particularly his love/hate relationship with the famous Gang Ranch and its various owners Earthy opnionated and blunt as well as humorous Chilco tells it like he sees it and see it he does all of it. From his experiences he argues the need for intelligent wildlife management grazing restrictions and water and forage control.
