Unusual and fine Scottish Ram’s Horn butt flintlock all metal pistol with rich silver gilt overall finish circa 1790-1820. The pistol measures 10” in overall length with a 6” cannon style barrel of approximately .56caliber smoothbore. The belt hook is attached with a pick in the butt, ball trigger and typical Scottish design. Original flint with all correct parts and original type ramrod. 90% plus thickoriginal silver gilt that shows minor peeling and loss mostly at the breech area. An attractive and scarce Scottish flintlock. Est.: $2,000-$4,000.
