There are two pairs of filled taps on the barrel for mounting iron sights. The top of the receiver has two sections of weaver rail ready to accept an optic, though none is present. grip/stock configuration & condition: the refinished furniture is one piece wood with a straight comb, semi-pistol grip, serrated white-line buttpad, wide forend, and an accessory rail on the bottom. The lop measures 13. 25" from the face of the trigger to the rear of the butt. There is a hole at the rear of the stock where a sling swivel used to be mounted. The wood shows some scattered pressure dings, minor surface scratches, and old blemishes that have been sanded and finished over. There are no chips or cracks. This furniture rates in very good plus condition. type of finish: bluedfinish originality: refinishedbore condition: the bore is bright and the rifling is sharp with faint wear. There are some minor tool marks at the muzzle of the bore. In this writer's opinion, the bore rates 9/10. overall condition: this rifle retains about 98% of its current metal finish. The screw heads range from unmarred to lightly tooled and remain fully functional. The markings are fairly clear and complete.
