CARBINE WITH ALL ROCK-OLA MARKED PARTS. Cal. 30 Carb. S# 1671904. Bbl. 18", marked w/ faint markings behind front sight "ROCK-OLA 5-43". Unmarked narrow bbl. band w/ stamped swivel. Swivel screw appears to be replacement. Flip type rear sight marked "S" "BR". Receiver made w/ detachable mag. tool & 2 takedown notches. Straight cut slide marked "ROCK-OLA". Flat bolt marked "ROCK-OLA". Milled Rock-Ola trigger housing. Push button safety. Mag. catch marked "B-P". Straight cut hammer marked "RK". High wood T-slot walnut stock marked "RMC" in sling slot. Very faint boxed "RIA BD" overhaul marking from Rock Island Arsenal & also very faint ordnance "crossed cannons". 2 Rivet walnut handguard w/ deep groove marked "RNC" & tiny "flaming bomb". MAGS: 1 detachable 15 rd. marked "R-C". CONDITION: stock set has good original appearing finish & very light wear & handling marks. Original buttstock markings on right side may have been cleaned when the Rock Island marking was applied. Metal has 75% original finish w/ light wear & handling marks. Bbl. has added arsenal rework finish which does not match the wear pattern of the balance of the metal. Good shiny bore. Lands have dull frosted appearance. (21-3585/RW). CURIO. $3,500-4,500.
