COLIBRI MODEL 12 BORE GAME GUN. Cal. 12 Ga., 2 1/2". S# 10006. Bbls. 27 1/4". Made w/ thin matted concave top rib that has sm brass front bead. Rib legend "FABRICA DE HIJOS DE F. ARIZAGA-EIBAR J925" in panel & engraved hummingbird in front of bbl. extension. Deep relief flowers carved at breech end. Blued bbl. flats w/ S# & proof marks. Splinter forend checkered in point pattern w/ scroll engraved irons has Anson type push button release w/ French gray interior, engraved interior screw & S# stamped on inside of wood. Full sidelock action is beautifully engraved in near full coverage w/ relief game scene of dogs chasing wild boar on left surrounded by well executed floral scroll. Bottom of action w/ beautiful floral scroll throughout & framed relief portrait of 2 setters in field. Right sidelock w/ dogs chasing a deer in relief panel surrounded by well executed floral & scroll engraving. Gold inlaid arrows on cocking indicators. Fences are beautifully relief carved duck & light scroll on top. Polished water table w/ S#, proof marks & stamped on both sides w/ flying hummingbird & "COLIBRI" & sm. import mark. Gun made w/ double locking under bite & Greener cross bolt action & has double triggers, extractor & auto safety. Top of action & top lever nicely scroll & floral engraved, top lever pierced w/ carved rabbit at thumb point & top tang is nicely scroll engraved "SEGURO" inlaid in gold in front of safety slide. Sling swivel in bottom rib & towards toe of stock. Buttstock w/ carved teardrops behind action checkered in point pattern through the wrist w/ ribbon at center & has nickel oval near toe & terminates w/ a lined horn buttplate having engraved screws. Long tang triggerguard w/ pheasants & scroll on bow plus scroll & S# on tang. The uncheckered ribbon at grip is very tasteful & well done by an accomplished stock man at the factory. LOP 14 3/8". Forend w/ grain separation towards tip running into checkering which is thinning a touch at carry point. Action retains most of its original French gray finish w/ some minor light staining. Top lever retains some of its original blue as does trigger guard. Buttstock appears sound, original & retains approx. half of its original hand rubbed finish w/ checkering thinning & filling at grip & scattered sm. impressions & hunting bumps. Bores mostly bright & shiny w/ a patch or two of pitting ahead of chambers. Buttplate w/ minor worm holing. Gun is tight & on face.
