AUTO PISTOL WITH NORWEGIAN GUARD HOLSTER. Cal. 11.25mm (45 ACP). S# 21699 (1932). This pre-World War II pistol was mfg. in 1917–1933 as Norway's standard sidearm. Matching number ".699" on the 5" barrel, slide, extractor, ejector plate, slide stop, trigger, thumb safety, hammer, grip safety, mag. release, and mainspring housing. Blue pistol with double diamond-checkered hardwood grips with black stain. MAGS: 1 plated 7-rd. mag. with lanyard loop. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Brown leather holster stamped MW. Inside the flap is marked "GOTS SCHWORM". Holster is in fair condition, showing wear: no pull thong, spots of verdigris, flexing of the leather, and some separation of stitching. Consignor tags attribute the pistol to the Mason Williams Collection, showing that the holster was purchased in 1980 and that it was from Interarms in 1972. CONDITION: very fine. Pistol has very good original blue showing muzzle wear, light edge wear, thinning finish on front strap and back strap areas, along with scattered marks on the bottom edges of the slide. Very good grips. Magazine has good plating with patina and friction wear. Grip screws show distortion. Good, strong bore showing light pitting in grooves towards the chamber. PROVENANCE: the collection of Curtis H. Halvorson. (23-5806/MD). CURIO. $2,000-3,000.
