Cal. 308. S# C-1. Bbl. 22". The vast majority of complaints about the (new) AR15 fielded during the Vietnam War was based on the ballistic superiority & effectiveness of the then current M14. The M1A is the civilian mfg. semi-auto evolution of that rock solid battle rifle. Barrel terminated w/ 3" flash hider/front sight/bayonet lug. Walnut stock w/ brown synthetic barrel shroud. Rear sight is the popular windage & elevation adj. peep. Walnut trapdoor M14 buttstock w/ folding shoulder support/buttplate. Selector slot properly filled & finished. Matte black receiver finish. Letter provided by consigner states: "M14 NM, Armscorp, built by Fulton Armory, SN C-1... This is an excellent condition rifle that has been test fired only....Clint McKee personally gage inspected the receiver and all components as part of the rifle build. All components are US GI which is nearly impossible to duplicate today. The US GI chrome-lined service grade barrel has CAGE Code 26978 which is SAK (Saco-Lowell) and is dated 5-63....the bolt, trigger housing & hammer are TRW, the Op-Rod is SAK, the rear and front sights are US GI service grade, the spring guide is the NM type, & the trigger pull is tuned. The fully glass bedded US GI walnut stock is in excellent condition with a deeply struck DAS & proof P...." CONDITION: All aspects appear as new. Bore is shiny w/ very strong rifling.
