SET SHOTGUN. Cal. 12 Ga 2-3/4’’. S# 96517. 7 pin sidelock action w/ double under lugs, third fastener & side clips. Selective ejectors, gold bar cocking indicators & double triggers, front trigger is hinged. Full coverage game scene engraving. Right lock plate shows an upland scene w/ pheasants. Left lock & floorplate have marsh scenes w/ flying ducks. Trigger guard bow depicts a shore bird. Bolsters have deep relief carved flying woodcock. Balance of receiver has fine arabesque scroll that extends to long tang trigger guard & forend iron. Splinter forearm w/ lever release & straight hand cheek piece stock of fine European walnut. Stock & forearm have fine point pattern hand checkering w/ tear drop points behind ears. LOP: 14-1.2’’ over an aftermarket “IRUPE” ventilated pad. DAC: 1-7/8’’. DAH: 3-1/2’’. Near neutral cast. Both sets of bbls. are 26’’ w/ high hand matted ventilated ribs. Ribs are marked “Victor Sarasqueta Eibar”. Weight w/ bbl. set no. 1: 7 lbs, 6.4 ozs. (Bbl. No. 1) Rib has gold number “1” w/ white beads. Bore diameter: RT .724, LT .724. Choke constriction: RT .004, LT .203. Minimum wall thickness: RT .040, LT .035. (Bbl. No. 2) Rib has gold number “2” w/ white front bead & aluminum mid bead. Bore diameter: RT .724, LT .724. Choke constriction: RT .028, LT .040. Minimum wall thickness: RT .040, LT .036. Date code indicates 1950 mfg. CONDITION: refinished gun. Action has brightly cleaned finish showing some weakening of engraving. Both sets of bbls. are reblued. Ribs have proper dark bluing. Bbls. have acquired a plum color from caustic bluing. Rib matting & engraving show some weakening from polishing. Bbl. No. 1 bores show light pitting towards breech end. Bbl.
