PLATES & US MODEL 1917-18 TRENCH KNIFES. 1) 2 Ideal bullet molds, both marked “IDEAL MIDDLEFIELD CONN USA”. 1 Marked “457”, “124” & “764”. The other marked “457”, “125 & “490”. Both sets of blocks include handles. CONDITION: molds appear to be serviceable, but blocks have light oxidation & very fine pitting inside & out. Wooden handles are in good, usable condition. (02-13668/RW). 2) 2 US Model 1917-18 trench knives. 1 Knife 8 3/4" triangular blue steeled blade w/ 1-piece walnut grip w/ finger grooves, cross guard & bow have pyramid shaped studs. Cross guard is marked at front w/ “U.S. L.F. & C.” & dated 1917 indicating mfg. by Landers Frary & Clark. Scabbard is dark green leather w/ black iron throat & tip. Model 1910 belt hook. Scabbard is marked “MS” on back of metal throat & front of scabbard tip. Knife blade retains most of its original blue w/ scabbard wear & light oxidation & fine pitting at tip. Wooden grip has light wear, staining & scratches. Scabbard has loose rivets w/ wear & scratches as well as appearance of added coat of clear finish. The other knife 9 1/8" triangular blade, marked “U.S. L.F. & C.” & dated 1917. Scabbard is dark green leather w/ black iron throat & tip. Model 1910 belt hook. Scabbard marked “MS” on back of metal throat & front of scabbard tip. Scabbard additionally marked w/ date 1918 & illegible letters on left front at seam. Blue steel blade has streaks of missing finish due to scabbard wear. Markings have been enhanced in white. Handle has light wear, dents & staining. Scabbard has moderate wear, loose rivets & crack on left side at seam. Metal parts have oxidation, patina & fine pitting. / 4 US “H” type belt plates for Mills Belts, 2 are cast & have separate hooks (1 cast w/ belt clips on each side, other stamped brass). 1 Marked “ANSON MILLS, PAT. FEB 1.1881 / T.CORNDORFF SOLE MANE / WORCESTER MASS. / U.S.A.”. Cast buckles turning a pleasing, dark patina. 1 Has distinctly copper colored hue. 1-Piece cast buckle has pleasing mustard color. 1-Piece pressed metal buckle has spots of verdigris. / 10 Civil War tompions, 1 tompion made of brass & felt w/ patent date “1863”. 2 Made of cork & brass, others are 1-piece slotted hardwood. Tompions have wear, staining & cork separation. Others are 1-piece. / 3 Combination tools from Civil War/Indian War era. One dated “Mod 1879”, 1 marked “US” & has 2 sizes of pin punch, the last unmarked. 1 Remington Lee 5-shot 45-70 mag. / 1 Blue steel main spring device marked “US”. / 1903A3 Springfield stamped lg. bow trigger guard in worn, oxidized condition. / Winchester Model 1882 loading tool for 38 WCF. Tool marked “MANUFACTURED BY THE / WINCHESTER REP ARMS CO. / NEW HAVEN CONN U.S.A.” & “38. W.C.F. / PAT.OCT.20.1874.NOV.7.82” w/ decapping pin. Handles have lg. percentage of original blue finish w/ light wear & scattered spots of oxidation. Loading tool appears to be in serviceable condition. / Winchester bullet mold in 38 WCF & so marked on handle. Brass tipped, wooden handles. Winchester markings. Mold appears to be in serviceable condition. / Brass powder dipper marked “40” & “4 BLACK POWDER”. / Approx. 120 rds. of US WW2 vintage ball cartridges on Springfield striper clips. / Sm. quantity of fired & mostly deprimed 30-06 brass w/ assorted Springfield stripper clips. / US Trapdoor Carbine bbl. band w/ stacking swivel.
