Very Rare Civil War E.A. Prescott Single Action Spurtrigger Belt Revolver, NVSN, .32 RF cal., 5.875" octagonal steel barrel marked with maker's name and Worcester, Mass. address, "Pat'd. Oct. 2, 1860" in two lines at left, has removable cylinder arbor/ejector rod below and unique feature of being welded (?) onto brass (or bronze) frame; unmarked 6-shot round cylinder; solid frame has left sideplate, spurtrigger sheath, integral flat-bottom gripstraps with 2-pc. varnished rosewood grips. Mfg'd ca. 1861-63, in only a few hundred qty. Condition is very good retaining traces of barrel blue in recesses of top rib, else smooth gunmetal gray as is cylinder, brass with moderate age toning. Grips are sound showing scattered light dings and most original varnish. Action won't hold cock or rotate cylinder; bore shows overall light-to-moderate erosion and fine rifling. Est.: $600-$900.
