Cal. 16 Ga., 2 9/16". S# 75423. Bbl. 26" dovetailed steel bbls. fitted w/ flat, matte game rib, engraved w/ Scott’s Shaftsbury Ave. address & “London England” on tops. Bbl. flats stamped w/ Birmingham Nitro proofs for 16 Ga. & 1 oz. of shot. Bottoms of bbls. stamped w/ S# & engraved “Special Steel. C.”. Case hardened boxlock action features automatic safety & dbl. triggers as well as cross bolt 3rd fastener. Action engraved w/ 50% coverage simple scroll. Maker’s name is on both sides. Top lever, floorplate & trigger guard are blued & also scroll engraved. S# is on trigger guard tang, along w/ Scott's castle logo at rear. Lightly streaked, dark European walnut, "Prince of Wales" pistol grip buttstock measures 14 1/4" over ribbed horn buttplate. Side panels are nicely shaped & point pattern flat top checkering is on diamond hand. A vacant silver oval is on toeline. Matching splinter forend has shaped & engraved steel tip & Deeley release. DIMENSIONS: bore dia. left .663, right .662. Restrictions: left .019 (Mod), right .004 (IC). Min. Wall Thickness: left .033, right .034. DAH 2 9/16". DAC 1 9/16". LOP 14 1/4". Cast approx. 1/2 off. WEIGHT: 5 lbs. 13 oz. CONDITION: fine overall. Bbls. retain 70% of what appears to be original blue w/ numerous light marks fading on sides. Action retains approx. 60% original case hardening color, vivid where protected. Top lever, floorplate & trigger guard retain most of their original blue. Stocks retain most of their original finish w/ some minor light marks & scratches. Bright, shiny bores. Action is tight. Stock exhibits major repair at wrist which currently does not flex. Some checkering has been recut in this area. A good handling British sm. bore. (21-327/MGM). MODERN. $1,200-2,000.
