As a part of WACA's 2021 fundraising efforts, Poulin Antiques & Auctions is offering this unique rifle w/ 100% of proceeds going to the Winchester Arms Collector's Association. Mike Hunter of Hunter Restorations & TimberLuxe stock finishes have teamed up w/ WACA to restore this antique Model 1886 rifle. Bbl. 26" oct. to rnd. Sporting front sight w/ elevator adj. rear sight. Button mag. Rust blued bbl. & mag. Receiver, buttplate, lever, hammer & forearm cap are case colored using the original bone & charcoal process. Forearm & straight grip stock of fancy black walnut have TimberLuxe finish & expert hand checkering by Master Engraver, Dennis McDonald. The result is a deluxe rifle replicating the look & feel of an all original Winchester 1886. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Cody Firearms Museum letter providing the following information "Serial number applied on October 27, 1891 / Type: Rifle / Caliber: 40/82 / Barrel Type: 1/2 Octagon / Trigger: Plain / Sights: Lyman wind gauge and Hunting front / 1/2 Magazine / Received in warehouse on November 13, 1891 / Shipped from warehouse on November 07, 1891, Order number 140319.".
