WWII BOOKS. Cal. 7.65mm (32 ACP). S# 39. Bbl. 3 1/4". Mfg. in Spain by Arizmendi & Goenega. Most commonly marked "American Automatic" along w/ "WALMAN" at top of checkered hard rubber grips. Checkered hardwood grips plus lanyard loop on lower left rear of frame. German crown N proofs in vertical line on frame, slide & bbl. Fixed sights w/ rear appearing added after mfg. MAGS: 1 good Sauer & Sohn 7 rd. modified at base to work w/ WALMAN latch. Noticeably snug for last half of insertion. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: fair oiled brown flap holster w/ stud & strap retention. Mag. pouch on front, open bottom & angled wide belt loop on back. Under flap appears marked in lg. letters "U. A.X.I" plus inked"G. Leifner M plus 4-5 unreadable letters". Partial maker's stamp w/ only"INDEL" over "3" readable. BOOKS: 1) WWII Twelfth Field Artillery Yearbook 7.5" X 10.5" w/ member listings at back. Fair w/ broken spine. 2) 1911 pocket sized Infantry Drill Regulations Manual in fair to good condition. 3) 1939 FM 6-40 Field Artillery Field Manual for firing; good condition. 4) 1932 Field Artillery Field Manual, Volume II, Tactics & Technique in fair to good condition. 5) 1941 Army Song Book; in fair condition due to chewed edge opposite spine. 6) Mid 1940's "From D+1 to 105", "Story of the 2nd Infantry Division" fair & missing back cover. CONDITION: fair to good overall appearance w/ faded finish & beginning patina appearance in grip area plus rear of frame & slide. Extra finish on grips both front & back w/ slight wear on bottom right. Noticeably weak mag. latch spring. Good bore w/ light wear & hint of frosting. (20-31/NW). CURIO. $500-1,000.
