RIFLE. Cal. 32 WCF (32-20). S# 381474B. Bbl. 26" oct., 2" longer than standard. German silver blade Rocky Mountain front sight & elevator adj. sporting rear sight. Full length mag. Action has unsigned custom hand engraving featuring a raised silver buffalo on left side plate. Balance of sides are covered w/ a vine type foliate scroll & punch dot backgrounds that extend to dust cover & breech end of bbl. Heat colored hammer, lever, forearm cap & crescent steel buttplate. Custom stock & forend of fancy walnut w/ fine wrap around hand checkering. 1891 Mfg. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: consignor supplied typed written information over the known history of the rifle. Letter states the gun was found "In 1958 in John Fulton's Big Ox Mine near Marysville, Montana. Fulton had brought the gun w/ him to Montana from Pennsylvania just before 1900". Letter further states the gun was fully restored by Great Falls gunsmith Allan Horst. CONDITION: bbl. & mag. tube retain over 90% reblued finish showing muzzle & carry wear. Action has lightly faded reblued finish acquiring a slight plum color. Heat colored parts retain good finish. Stocks have sharp checkering w/ generally good finish showing scratches w/ spots of filled grain checks on butt section. Bright near excellent relined bore.
