Bbl. 24" rnd. with bead front sight, sporting rear sight and scarce model 1873 folding tang sight that has peep disk above protected staff and uses a single mounting screw with pin above rear sight screw hole. Adj. disk is not present, sight is marked "PT. JUNE 19,1891". Full length mag. Third Model action with case colored hammer and lever. Receiver, sideplates, carrier, dust cover, forearm cap and trapdoor crescent buttplate are nickel finished. Forearm and pistol grip stock with ebony inlay have factory style H hand checkering. Inside of top tang channel stamped "P / 5358". Left inside of lower tang marked with matching assembly # "5358" followed by "XX" wood grade marking & "R". UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Cody Firearms Museum Records check stating the following information "Type: Rifle / Barrel Type: Round / Trigger: Plain / Checkered stock, Pistol grip / Nickel trim / Received in warehouse on April 12, 1884. / Shipped from warehouse on April 12, 1884, Order number 11456. CONDITION: bbl. and mag. tube retain over 90% dull lightly faded original blue. Action and trim have over 70% factory nickel showing areas of flaking on right sideplate and buttplate with smaller spots of freckling and scratches in other areas. Original wood finish shows some wear and age darkening with scattered light scratches and marks. Checkering shows light wear. Crisp mechanics. Front sight has broken bead.
