ACTION RIFLE. Cal. 38-55. S# 22690. Bbl. scarce 30" octagon, 4" longer than standard. Lyman No. 4 Hunting white bead front with original sporting rear sight. Full length mag. Double set triggers. Walnut forend & straight grip stock with crescent steel buttplate. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: Cody firearms Museum letter stating: "Rifle / 38/55 caliber / Barrel Shape: Octagon / Set trigger / Received in warehouse on January 22, 1898 / Shipped from warehouse on January 25, 1898, order number 2766 / Shipped with two other Model 1894's with order number 2766." Letter of examination from Rarewinchesters.com. CONDITION: Original metal finish has largely faded to brown retaining some blue in protected areas. Unsanded wood has a light coat of finish over scratches & marks with a very small chip at buttplate peak. Sound action with functioning set triggers.
