SEMI-AUTOMATIC PISTOL WITH HOLSTER & RARE LATE WAR GRIP EXTENSION. Cal. 7.65mm. S# 797378. Bbl. 3 1/4". Model HSc mfg. by Mauser during World War II. Left side of slide exhibits the Mauser banner logo, followed by markings stipulating Mauser's mfg. information, as well as the model and cal. designations. Right side of rear trigger guard web is stamped with an Eagle/N commercial nitro proof, which is also faintly marked on the right side of the slide. Metal components are blued, with the frame being mounted with 2 piece checkered black plastic grips. All numbers are matching and include the frame, slide, and bbl. Mag. retains a rare and original metal grip extension. MAGS: 2-8rd. UNATTACHED ACCESSORIES: "GENSCHOW & CO/ 1941/ BERLIN" marked brown leather holster with an Eagle/WaA286 on the closure strap, containing 1 spare mag. CONDITION: metal components retain large amounts of their period blue finish, exhibiting areas of wear and thinning overall that show through to gray patina. Mirror bore, exhibiting a couple spots of light pitting and retaining strong rifling throughout. Grips show some scattered marks from handling and storage, but otherwise remains sturdy and serviceable. Holster remains malleable, exhibiting age related cracking and crazing overall. (23-4993/MLW).
