German made vintage Naval sword imported by Hilborn, Hamburger , Inc. New York as marked on the ricasso with Eagle hall mark. 29 1/2" blade etched with Naval motif's, and "U.S.N". Triple wire-wrapped faux sharkskin grips. "U.S.N. brass handguard with eagle pommel. Two-ring leather covered scabbard with brass fittings. Rack number "203" stamped on ricasso over the company name. Blade has a number of small nicks indicating possible use in training. very rare to see a rack number on these swords. Scabbard leather has some scuffs and a couple of chips out of it. Sword does not fit into the scabbard all the way due to shrinkage, common. Not bad for it's age.
