"FORT MACARTHUR CALIFORNIA". 19" x 28" double applique lettering & insignia on originally red field. Regulation guidon size post 1931. July 1, 1924 the 3rd Coast Artillery (Harbor Defense) and organized with Batteries A & B at Fort MacArthur, California in the Harbor Defenses of Los Angeles and was disbanded in 1944. This guidon represents Battery B of the 3rd U.S. Coast Artillery. It dates 1931-1944. The flag features in the center of the crossed cannons & shell the logo for the Coast Artillery. CONDITION: Poor, insignia complete, hoist mostly missing, numerous tears & reductions, color faded to pink/tan, heavy staining & soiling. (02-19473-48/JS). $100-200.
