SERIAL NUMBER: A17. BARREL: 31-1/2". CALIBER: 6.5 BLANK. MANUFACTURED: 1940'S. Training rifle used in schools and army training to help ready combat recruits. No mum or model markings. No import marks as well. Only serial number is on the action. Blade front sight, with Type 38 style rear (on backwards). Military blued finish and oiled wood tock, with what look to be painted school markings on the right and left side. Attached original dust cover. Includes a training type bayonet/scabbard, with no makers marks on the blade. A serial number ("4657") on the left grip panel and markings exist on the left grip panel. Dulled blade. CONDITION: Metal is good overall, with general wear and brown patina. Wood has minor handling marks. scrapes and scratches. Bore is heavily frosted. Action has grease inside. Mechanically fine. NOT TO BE SHOT AS IT IS A TRAINING RIFLE. Bayonet has patina and cleaned surface rust on the scabbard. C&R
