Includes Original U.S. WWII USMC P44 Camouflage Pattern 1944 Utility jacket and rare trousers. (Jacket is size 42, trousers 34) This type was used on Saipan and Tinian, Peleliu, Iwo Jima and Okinawa. Cotton HBT (Herring Bone Twill) Camouflage pattern jacket was issued to Marines in late WWII and during the Korean war. Reversible, outer side is the base green "jungle" camouflage pattern, with the tan or "sand" side inside the jacket and trounsers. The jacket is in very good lightly used overall condition, showing wear on the shoulders from carrying straps All snaps and black U.S.M.C doughnut hole buttons are present and in good original condition on the jacket and trousers, the jacket has trademark "side entry" pockets on the chest, which were originally intended for use with flotation "pillows", as well as carrying equipment. Two Jungle Flotation Bladders made for these pockets are included, rubberized-fabric inflatable bag issued to Marine Corps troops in the Pacific Theater to provide extra buoyancy navigating deep water or marshlands in the Pacific. Maker marked, US acceptance stamps and both dated "Aug 26, 1942". Also included is a Original US WWII M1923 USMC M1 Garand Cartridge Belt By BOYT 44, stampings are clear, late war like the uniform, very good condition. Original type 3 WW2 USMC reversible helmet cover with no foliage slits cut into the fabric, has small EGA stenciled on the 'sand" side. Shows wear and a couple of small tears from The helmet rim. Original U.S. WWII USMC 1944 dated shelter half, reversible Camouflage, "Frog Skin" side stamped in ink " Walker Co. June 13, 1944 with original US WWII USMC Mitchell Pattern Camo Straps Set of 2, very good condition, buckles intact. A very nice, date correct late war grouping when most of the major USMC battles were fought.
