FINDER. 1) FLAK BINOCULARS. A fine set of slide mounted WWII German airplane spotter or flak binoculars. Binoculars measure approx. 15 1/2" x 9". The body is tan w/ the eye shield, eye pieces, knobs & lens covers black. The side is marked, “D.F. 10 x 80 (triangle) dk1 (red X) 72702”. CONDITION: binoculars show light to moderate wear & appear to be functional although they have not been field tested. (02-14390/BF). 2) TRENCH PERISCOPE. A BMK SF14 trench periscope/binoculars often used by the Wehrmacht. They are generally termed, “rabbit ears” by allied forces who would see them peering over trenches & above walls. Scope is in original box w/ various attachments included. CONDITION: this trench periscope is not complete & is missing several parts including both eye pieces & 1 top lens. The box is solid but is in rough condition. (02-14391/BF). 3) RANGE FINDER. Overall length is 44". An fwq nr. 32643, 1944 German range finder. Outside of the aluminum body is painted tan. There are various black plaques w/ German writing attached on or around a wide variety of adjustment knobs. There is a green cotton web sling. Black rubber & tan metal eye shields cover the lenses. Range finder includes a box of optics labeled for German range finder. CONDITION: the end pad on the left side is missing, otherwise the range finder appears to be functional but has not been field tested. (02-14400/BF). $800-1,200.
