WWII German JGA Sportmodell 4mm Bolt Action Training Rifle, #2349, 4mm Long cal., 26" barrel/shroud (actual rifled barrel is only about 10" long), blued finish, receiver marked "JGA" with shield logo, and "Buscher Sportmodell Nurnberg"; matching numbered barrel and receiver, bolt is un-numbered, flip-over lever safety, top of barrel marked "4mm Lang", drift adjustable inverted "V" front sight and tangent rear sight adjustable from 10 to 50, one-piece wood stock and upper hand guard, side sling slot, two blued steel barrel bands, steel buttplate, unusual brown painted stacking/cleaning rod with removable tip. Condition is good retaining approx. 85% original blued finish, with freckling on top of barrel and action, light edgewear to the rear sight top, bolt release lever, bolt body and handle. Action and safety function properly; bore is bright but needs a good cleaning. Stock has a duffle-bag cut under the rear barrel band and is loose. Body of the stock shows numerous small scratches, dings, small gouges, and minor chipping at the rear around the buttplate. Barrel bands show light high edgewear to the bluing. Buttplate has been lightly cleaned, with a dark patina. There are remnants of a leather sling for a standard K98 included, but it is not complete and is broken. Est.: $600-$900. (C&R)
