WWII German Occupation FN Browning Hi-Power Semi-Automatic Pistol, #80373, 9mm cal., 4.6" barrel, blued finish, checkered walnut grips, dovetailed blade front sight, tangent rear sight with "V"-notched groove and graduations from 50-500 meters. Includes one period unmarked 13-round magazine with split tail base and one later unmarked magazine with phosphate finished body and push button magazine base. Barrel, frame, and slide with matching numbers. Left side of slide is marked "FABRIQUE NATIONALE D'ARMES DE GUERRE / HERSTAL BELGIQUE" and "BROWNING'S PATENT DEPOSE". There is a Nazi eagle firing proof on the barrel, and Nazi eagle firing proof with " (eagle)WaA103" Waffenamt on left side of the frame and slide. Additionally, "MR" is stamped on front left side of the trigger guard. Condition is very good overall, retaining approx. 75%-80% original finish, with wear and patina to front and backstrap, edgewear and patina along parts of the frame and slide, general light scratches and handling marks throughout. Factory markings are clear. Grips show expected age and moderate handling wear, including a more notable impression to the left panel, behind the grip screw. Action operates smoothly. Bore rates near excellent overall and is bright throughout with well-defined rifling. Split tail magazine is in good condition, base with spots of light pitting and retains little finish; body shows moderate wear. Push button magazine shows little wear but has a few small spots of rust on right side of the body. Est.: $1,500-$2,000.
