WWII German Walther ac-43 P.38 Semi-Automatic Pistol, #1078m, 9mm cal., 4.9" barrel, blue finish, black Bakelite grips, blade front sight and fixed rear sight with "U"-shaped groove, and one blued steel magazine. Left side of the magazine is marked "P.38"; spine is marked "jvd" and "WaA706". Pistol also features a hammer drop safety and lanyard loop. Includes brown pigskin leather holster for a CZ52 pistol. Right side of the slide is marked with Nazi eagle firing proof and two "(eagle)359" Waffenamts. There is an additional, partially obscured "(eagle)359" on left side of the frame along with Bundesheer "BH" stamp . Right side of the frame is marked "GERMANY". Matching numbers on frame, slide, barrel, and locking block; although numbers on the locking block and barrel were likely applied later to match. Import marked on underside of the barrel. Pistol is in fine overall condition, retaining approx. 93%-95% blue showing light wear at the muzzle, to edges of the slide, and thinning to the front grip strap. Factory lettering and proof marks are legible. Grips are near excellent, showing normal light handling marks and a few scratches. Action, hold open, and hammer drop function properly. Bore is bright with very good, defined rifling. Magazine shows moderate finish wear. Holster is good, still soft and pliable, showing general wear, with tight stitching. Est.: $500-$750. (C&R/PPT)
