Donation: When we think of the D-Day invasion of Normandy in June 1944, images of Allied and German infantrymen locked in combat with the standard guns of 1944 come to mind. The M1 carbine (formally the United States Carbine, Caliber .30, M1) was one of those military service guns. It is a lightweight .30 caliber semi-automatic carbine that became a standard firearm for the U.S. military during World War II. General Oliver Peacock has generously donated this WWII Service Rifle to our 2016 Convention to help raise funds for the Wounded Warriors Outdoor Program and WSF Conservation efforts!
