OF IDENTIFIED LETTERS. Lot consists of: 1) WWII U.S.G.I. scrap book. Apparent homemade construction consisting of wood covers with brass hinges and a cloth closure strap. Scrapbook contains assorted material consisting of period newspaper clippings, portraits, and comics. 2) White canvas sorority cap. Front is embroidered with Greek characters "PHI SIGMA KAPPA". 3) Large bag containing numerous letters from Joe Berkemeyer from his time spent aboard the USS Springfield (CLG-7). CONDITION: scrapbook is good, as homemade, with pages exhibiting age related discoloration. Cap remains serviceable, showing age related discoloration. Letters appear good, showing some age related discoloration and staining. (02-24526-3/MLW). NON-GUN. $100-200.
