“WYOMING BIGHORNS” ORIGINAL OIL BY GARY SWANSON
(100% Fully Donated)
(Commissioned by the Late William “Bill” Poole and 100% donated by Ingrid Poole Williams)
Donation: Bill Poole hunted Wyoming Area #3 with the retired Cody country outfitter Don DeCastro and took a fine Wyoming bighorn. High in the North Fork near Swede Creek they glassed these nine stunning rams, which included Bill’s ram and his eight bachelor buddies. After the successful hunt DeCastro drew a pencil drawing of the scene and surroundings, which Gary used as reference to create this beautiful special commission for Bill and Ingrid. This beautiful 26”x40 Original Oil on Canvas is not just a one of a kind...it was made from two men that left a legacy. Gary Swanson a man with vision and talent that loved to step into the scene and put it on canvas...and William “Bill” Poole a man of passion for the hunt, so much so, he was the recipient of the Conklin Award in 2008 for his amazing life and many hunting adventures. Enjoy this beautiful painting and the memories that it was imagined for!
