Rifle. Semi-Automatic. German WW2 military issued rifle. 10-rd detachable box magazine. Gas-operated short-stroke piston, flapper locking. 21.5" barrel. Produced 1943-45 with a total of 402,713 made. Serrated ramp front blade and tangent rear sights. Rough machined receiver, and bolt carrier. No bolt hold open lever on bolt carrier. Left receiver stamped "K.43 "ac 44". Waffenamt Eagle/359. Small waffenamt on top of receiver appears to be Eagle/waAA44. Eagle/359 waffenamt on bolt carrier, rear sight, and trigger. Serial number matched on receiver, bolt carrier. Rifle is fitted with a WW2, non-matching scope mount with the round ends, that has a single waffenamt Eagle/359. Serial number "2070" milled into the front end of the mount. Locking lever marked "fest" on the outside, and "lose" on the backside. It is fitted with correct mid-war ZF 4 scope, the only scope used exclusively with K43, and G43's. Scope is marked "Gw ZF 4 58290 ddx" in three lines followed by a blue triangle. "ddx" is for maker Voiglander und Sohn, Braunschweig. (Walther used the ddx's) Correct leather lens covers. Clear optics. Bore is good with strong rifling, Blued metal finish is good with some minor scratches/edge wear. There is some fiction loss on the receiver. Late war rough wood stock/handguard are good with some minor scratches/dings. There is a small waffenamt behind the triggerguard which I can't read. Cupped steel buttplate is hinged for cleaning gear is ok with some surface rust, and minor pitting. Cleaning rod present. Action is crisp/tight. One blued 10-rd magazine marked "avx" (Sudmatall AG) "K43" Two waffenamt Eagle/WaA204. Bolt stamped "8176", with the "8" obscuring a Waffenamt beneath. Lug electro-pencil marked "176", firing pin stamped Waffenampt/359 & electro-pencil marked "176". NRA Condition-Near Very Good. C& R Firearm.
