With a few modernizations, the Mark V Standard Short Action revitalizes this legacy with precision and performance. Featuring a classic Monte Carlo AA-grade walnut stock with a high-gloss finish, the new Varmintmaster blends timeless Weatherby craftsmanship with cutting-edge advancements. A modern take on a legacy rifle. The new Mark V Deluxe Varmintmaster is built on the all-new Mark V Standard Short Action. This action is based on Roy Weatherby’s original design that was introduced in 1964 and ran in production until 1994 when it was replaced by the current modern-day Mark V 6-Lug Standard Action. Both actions utilize a 6-Lug bolt design and the main difference between the two is that the Mark V action is a trimmed-down and shorter version of the Standard action. The new Deluxe Varmintmaster features a classic Monte Carlo high gloss stock that Roy Weatherby was known for. It features regal diamond-point checkering, a rosewood forend and grip cap, and maple spacers giving it that timeless look. The field crowned barrel has a classic high gloss blued finish and is threaded for the convenient use of a brake or suppressor. The twist rates have been updated to a 1:8 twist from the original 1:14 twists.
This allows the new Deluxe Varmintmaster to stabilize heavier hunting and long range bullets like the 80.5 gr Berger FBT, in addition to the 37 grain hammer bullet, and the original 50 and 55 grain V-Max bullets. The new Mark V Standard Short Action is longer than the original Varmintmaster action. Guaranteed Sub-Moa Accuracy - All Mark V rifles are guaranteed to shoot a 3-shot group of .99" or less at 100 yards (SUB-MOA) from a cold barrel when used with Weatherby factory or premium ammunition. TriggerTech Trigger - TriggerTech's trigger provides true zero-creep break, extremely short over-travel, and is externally adjustable. precision cut stainless steel components ensure consistent trigger pulls from shot to shot in a safe, reliable, and corrosion resistant package. Threaded Barrel - the field crowned barrel has a classic high gloss blued finish and is threaded for the convenient use of a brake or suppressor. 54 Degree Bolt - The shortest in the industry (as compared to typical 90 bolt throw). Allows for faster chambering on follow-up shots and greater bolt-to scope clearance.

Where shipping is required, it will be the bidder’s responsibility to pay for the packaging and shipping.
Any firearms shipments, the purchaser will have to pay the transfer fees to the FFL Dealer and provide a copy of the FFL Dealer license to First Stop Gun Shop in Rapid City, SD.

Online Live Auction Policy
All sales are final. There will be no exchanges or refunds on auctioned hunts, services and/or items, including fishing trips (hereinafter “hunts”).
All such auctioned hunts must be used within the timeframe specified on the donation. If no date range is specified, all such hunts must be used within one year of the date of purchase or work with the outfitter to change the dates of the hunt.
The purchaser (winning bidder) must contact the donor within thirty (30) days of the date of this purchase.
If the purchaser fails to contact the donor within thirty (30) days of the date of this purchase, the donor may consider the donation invalid.
It is the purchaser’s responsibility to contact the hunt and/or services donor immediately, make all necessary arrangements for dates, and submit the application for any necessary paperwork for licenses and/or permits.
SCI-GDC is not, and will not act as, a conduit or go-between between the purchaser and donor.
SCI-GDC has made reasonable efforts to ensure the quality of donated hunts, items, and other services; however, SCI-GDC does not guarantee the satisfaction of the donor or the purchaser.
All donors provided notice on the SCI-GDC donation form, or other supporting documents they submitted to SCI-GDC with their donation, specifics regarding the duration (in days) of the hunt/service and the available date range for completion of the hunt or service offered in the donation. They also addressed what lodging/accommodations are offered and what trophy fees are included with the donation. A copy of this donation form (and/or supporting documents) will be provided to the winning bidder by email (if email address is on file) within 30 days of the auction date.
SCI-GDC does not guarantee or warrant that a trophy animal or any animal will be taken during the period of the hunt. Locating or taking an animal of any trophy quality or otherwise is not a condition of acceptance by the purchaser for the purchased hunt.
A person who bids on behalf of another person or group is responsible for payment in its entirety at the completion of the auction.
Several bid items have undisclosed reserve amounts. The seller or its designee reserves the right to bid up to, but not over, the undisclosed reserve amount.
The goods and services offered in the auction are sold “as is,” including any faults or defects, and without any express or implied warranty or guarantees on the part of SCI-GDC or Safari Club International (SCI). SCI-GDC and SCI make no warranties of fitness or merchantability.
The winning bidder acknowledges that SCI-GDC and SCI cannot be responsible for, or liable for, any political unrest, epidemic, acts of god, or instability that may occur inside or outside the United States, nor can SCI-GDC or SCI be accountable for any injuries or damages that may arise there from.
