SB: 79024 Inscribed top-break double action revolver manufactured by P. Webley & Son circa 1897-1899. The top strap is engraved "SUPPLIED BY HENRY ATKIN/2 JERMYN ST HAYMARKET S.W." and the backstrap is inscribed "T. STROUD." Features a blued finish, 4" barrel, forged blade front sight, notched rear sight on the barrel catch, fluted six-shot cylinder, automatic extractor, smooth trigger, knurled hammer spur, lanyard ring on the butt and two-piece checkered hard rubber grips. Serial numbers match on the barrel and frame with the cylinder bearing the number "157462". Markings: Barrel Rib - "P. WEBLEY & SON LONDON & BIRMINGHAM", Barrel - "ENGLAND" & .455/.476" on the left side, Top Strap - "MARK "III"" on the left side, Frame - "WEBLEY/PATENTS" & [W&S bullet logo] on the left side, and Cylinder - various military proofs. The revolver bears an old refinish which has turned to a mostly brown patina with some scattered bluing intact and some pin prick pitting on the cylinder. The action is smooth with good lock-up, the bore is bright with scattered pin prick pitting, the cylinder measures 1.450" long, and the hard rubber grips are very good but may be reproductions Condition is NRA Good. ***Antique Firearm*** From The John F Sukey Collection
