SN: 140197. Manufactured 1969. Proofed at the Birmingham proof house. Anson & Deeley style action. Blued 28"steel barrels with concave, smooth solid rib marked "Webley & Scott" and "BIRMINGHAM". 2 3/4"chambers with ejectors. Barrels choked at 20 F, and M. LOP is 14 3/4". Proved for shells at proof pressure of 3 1/2 Tons per square inch, The boxlock case colored receiver shows beautiful full coverage finely detailed scrollwork with "WEBLEY & SCOTT" on either side and features double triggers and automatic tang mounted safety switch with "Safe" gold toned. Blued engraved top lever, & triggerguard. Highly figured, multi-point checkered walnut splinter forend with Anson button release with engraved fittings and traditional English straight grip stock with drop points, silver oval escutcheon and checkered bare butt. Serial number matched on the water table, lower tang, forearm metal, & forearm lug. Lug also stamped "Made in England". Bores are pristine, action locks up tight, blue and case colors are excellent except for some handling loss on the lower tang. Stocks are over excellent except for a small chip on the lower left heel of the butt stock. NRA Condition-Near Excellent. C&R Firearm.
