American made magazine fed repeating bolt-action shotgun chambered for 2-3/4" 16 Gauge shotshells. The Westernfield Model 30 is a Montgomery Ward department store brand shotgun produced by Stevens. It is a close copy of the Stevens 58, but with a fixed 2-round magazine. The Stevens Model 58 was in production from 1933 until 1966, and it is assumed that this shotgun was in production in that same time period. Shotgun features a blued finish, an approximately 28" round barrel integral to the receiver, fixed choke measures 'Full' with a drop-in gauge, steel bead front sight, serrated curved trigger, turned down and swept back collard bolt handle, smooth safety tab at the rear of the receiver, and a metal trigger guard. The hardwood furniture consists of a smooth semi-pistol gripped shoulder stock, smooth forend, 14-1/2" length-of-pull, and a brown ventilated rubber recoil pad. The original blued finish retained is approximately 88% with edge wear, handling blemishes, and some general thinning. There are a couple of very subtle dents in the barrel, and there is sparse oxidative speckling on the shotguns entirety. The action is smooth and crisp, and the bore is bright and shiny. The furniture wood is in good condition with handling marks, thinning finish, and some edge wear around the edge of the grip.
Condition is NRA Good.
