Vintage large frame double action top-break revolver chambered in .455 Webley, manufactured by Webley & Scott for the Wilkinson Sword Company circa 1909-1914. Features a lustrous blued finish, ribbed 6" barrel with slab sides, raised blade front sight with bead top, dovetailed ‘u’ notched rear sight installed on the barrel catch, smooth trigger, knurled hammer spur, fluted six-shot cylinder with automatic extractor, steel frame with lanyard ring on the butt, and finely checkered walnut grips with silver oval escutcheon inlayed in the top of the left panel. Matching serial numbers are found on the frame, barrel, cylinder and on the back of both grip panels. The Wilkinson number engraved on the trigger guard is “2076”. Other markings: Barrel - "WILKINSON. GUNMAKERS. PALL MALL. LONDON. S.W.", “WILKINSON-WEBLEY,’05.” and “.450/455”. Frame – [winged bullet]/”W&S”, “WEBLEY/PATENTS” & [crown]/”BV”. Revolver retains approximately 70% of its original high polish blued finish showing edge wear, scattered brown fleckling and finish loss on the grip straps. Action is sounds with excellent lock-up, the bore is pristine, markings are very good and the matching walnut grips are good with wear & blemishes. Condition is NRA Fine. ***C&R Firearm***
