First time donor, Wilmot’s Rustic Millworks has donated this three-piece, custom built set of accent tables – a coffee table (48 x 20 x17 inches) and two end tables (20 x 15x 24 inches each). This one of a kind set of Fractal burn and epoxy, rustic table set has been made from 122 year-old, barn wood reclaimed from a barn in Clarkston, Michigan. The highly sought-after barn wood has been Fractal burned - electrocuted using high voltage electricity, to create truly unique patters in the wood. Sandwiched between the two live edge pieces in each table top is a river of blue epoxy. The Fractal burns and the epoxy rivers have been filled with “Great Lakes Blue” epoxy resin and mimic the many small creeks and streams that flow into the numerous rivers found in our beautiful State. The table tops have been coated with multiple layers (eight gallons) of crystal-clear epoxy to create a durable, glossy finish that highlights the shapes of the burns and the grain patterns of the wood. The coffee table sits on table legs that have also been through the Fractal burn and epoxy process and are made from the same, 122 year-old barn wood. Bases for the end tables have been made from hand-hewn, reclaimed barn beams after the removal of blacksmith made, square nails. It is not possible to duplicate these tables! Each piece of wood takes its own path during the Fractal burning process insuring a one-of-a-kind result. These tables will be on display in the Wilmot’s Rustic Millworks booth located in the hall.
