Used Winchester 1885 Highwall Single Shot in 38-55 Caliber. Serial #30482. This rifle has a 30" octagon barrel with an extra sight dovetail 3 1/2" from the muzzle. The dovetail has been filled with a blank. The bore has prominent rifling and shiny but does have some frosting. The metal work has a grey patina. The stock is solid, with some dents in both the forearm and the buttstock. This rifle should make a good shooter.
All used firearms should be checked by a competent gunsmith before firing.
