Vintage lever action repeating rifle chambered in .35-35 Winchester, manufactured in New Haven, CT circa 1895. Features a blued finish, the 26" octagon barrel, full-length tube magazine, dovetailed blade/bead front sight, two leaf, v-notch flip rear sight, The top leaf is broken and they are frozen in place, smooth trigger, knurled hammer spur, steel receiver, single magazine band, smooth walnut forend with metal cap, straight grip shoulder stock with smooth metal crescent buttplate. Bore is dark/rough with rifling present. Barrel & magazine tube surfaces show full coverage of a dull blue/light gray color, with edge losses, scattered tiny pits, receiver shows a molted dull gray patina with scattered light pitting and patches of dark brown surface rust. Markings are crisp. Edges of barrel flats fairly sharp. Wood is good/sound with many minor scratches/dings and a shallow gouge on the left forearm. Action works well.
