Features 24" round barrel, full length magazine tube, buckhorn sights, straight wrist, finger lever latch, raised thumb print dust cover, steel crescent buttplate with sliding cover for butt trap. Bore is good condition, bright with crisp rifling, scattered tiny pits throughout. Metal surfaces show majority coverage of mottled dark grayish brown coloration, mostly smooth with some roughness from patina, especially on receiver sides and barrel. Many light scratches and lines on receiver indicate cleaning. Lines of silver coloration from bare metal show on edges of receiver plate, corners & sharp edges, where action parts rub. Thinning color showing more silver where handled, especially top tang. Screw slots are generally good. Several small punch marks to bottom of cartridge lifter. Buttplate has moderate pitting and corrosion at heel, visible rust on trap door. Wood is good condition, solid with visible grain, some oil staining where wood touches metal, many small dents and scratches throughout. Small chip loss to handguard. Fair wood to metal fit at buttstock, some shrinkage or sanding loss evident. Action is smooth. Markings on tang are crisp with even depth. Two line barrel address is crisp & readable.
