American made break action shotgun. The 410 gauge production started in the second year (1937). Early Winchester models referred to as "Red Letter" shotguns were stamped with the Winchester name and filled with red custom enamel paint until 1948. M37's were manufactured without date stamps or serial numbers. It has a 26" blued barrel and receiver with silver bead front sight, straight grain wood stocks with Winchester buttplate. LOP is 14". Bore looks good needs cleaned. Metal finish looks good with a very faint spot on top of barrel where it may have leaned on something (very faint). Receiver shows some wear. Wood stocks look good, no cracks, a few small dings. Barrel locks up tight but top lever a tad loose. Still has red enamel paint in lettering on bottom of receiver.
