Winchester 42 .410 Bore SN:113143
American made slide action shotgun chambered for .410 shotshells circa 1952. It sports a 28" vent rib barrel, a Bradley white bead front sight and tiny white mid-bead sight. The rib reads "Simmons Gun Specialties Inc. Olathe, Kansas" It features gold color, filled lettering on the left side of the barrel, a jeweled bolt and elevator and a smooth trigger. The wood stocks are beautiful with checkering at the wrist and on the sides of the slide handle and double diamond on the bottom and a Pachmayr Old English .25" recoil pad and .25" black spacer. This gun appears to have been reblued and restocked. The stocks look great with only a couple of very minor dings and an almost imperceptible scuff in the finish on the left side. The reblue looks good but there are some minor imperfections visible under the reblue and there is a minor scuff on the top of the rib about 11" from the muzzle. Overall gun looks very good. Choke is marked full on the barrel. Bore looks great, bright. Approx stock dimensions: 14-1/8" LOP, 1-5/8" Drop at Comb, 2-1/2" at heel, about 2-1/4" drop mid-point between point of comb and heel. Condition is NRA Very Good as redone. *C&R Firearm*
