#IS7297. Commemorative lever action repeating rifle celebrating the Illinois Sesquicentennial 1818-1968. Manufactured circa 1968 with only 37,648 reported to have been produced. Features a blued & glossy black finish with gold accents, light coverage roll stamp engraving on the receiver, 20" tapered barrel, full-length tube magazine, ramped & hooded blade front sight with bead top, elevation adjustable rear sporting sight, smooth gold toned trigger with beveled edges, serrated hammer spur, grip safety, gold toned saddle ring, two barrel bands, smooth fancy figured walnut forend and straight grip shoulder stock with inlayed Illinois Sesquicentennial coin on the right side,lower right barrel stamped is gold toned 'Illinois Sesquicentennial 1818-1968', left receiver stamped "Land of Lincoln" with profile of Abraham Lincoln in the middle. knurled gold toned metal buttplate. Rifle retains approximately 98% of its original finish showing a couple of minor scratches. Action is smooth, the bore is excellent and the wood stocks are fine,
