Manufactured circa 1886. Features 30" octagon barrel, full length magazine tube, buckhorn sights, straight wrist, finger lever latch, sliding dust cover, steel crescent buttplate. Bore is dark/rough with light rifling. Blue finish has turned a molted gray/brown patina with traces of blue mostly on the lever, hammer, and rear sight, some very light scattered areas of pin-prick pitting. Screw slots are very good. Wood is very good, has been re-varnished. Action is smooth. Dust cover is tight. Model marking on top tang is feint, two line barrel address is crisp ,serial number on bottom tang is feint, "32 Cal" brass lifter marking is faint. The .32 W.C.F. on barrel flat is crisp. Someone has affixed a 3 1/4" tin plate etched with Buffalo Bill's Wild West in script to the right butt stock, attached with brass tacks, "WFC" (William F. Cody) is etched on the left barrel flat, and the upper underside of the receiver. Comes with a fringed suede sheath. NRA Condition-Good. Antique Firearm.
