Lever action rifle chambered for 32WCF (32-30), manufactured circa 1888. Features 24" octagonal barrel, full length magazine tube, blade front sight, flip up ladder rear sigh with elevator slide, sliding dust cover, straight wrist stock, lever latch, crescent buttplate. Bore is poor condition, dark and pitted, with remaining rifling appearing shallow and eroded. Overall metal appearance is thin grayish brown, with bare metal at all edges, darker splotchy brown patches on barrel flats and magazine tube. Barrel flats appear slightly rounded with loss of sharp corners at edges. Receiver has a patch of deep pitting in front of lever hinge. Magazine tube has rough finish at muzzle end. Screw heads generally show slot deformation from screwdriver use. Dust cover operates properly, has side play when forward. Lever operates smoothly and action seems good. Forend wood is in fair condition with chip out at left front, numerous dents. Stock is fair condition with many small dents, approx. 2" crack at right side from action back, some small wood loss from comb. "32 WCF" marking on barrel top is fading but legible. "32 CAL" on lifter is partially visible. Serial number marking is legible but shallow. Top tang "MODEL 1873" is clearly readable. Condition is NRA Fair ***Antique Firearm***
