Winchester Model 1886 33 WCF SN: 132756
Vintage American take down lever action rifle manufactured 1904, with Factor Letter, expertly restored by "Hunter Restorations". Features blued finish, case color lever & hammer, fancy checkered walnut forend & pistol grip stock, factory buttplate, 24" round barrel, full length mag tube, raised front sight base housing a Marbles blade with bead top, 2 position folding leaf rear sight on barrel, Lyman tangent adjusting peep rear sight on receiver. Bore is good to very good condition, showing some frosting and some darkness in grooves, mostly bright with strong rifling. Retains 98% refinish with handling marks. Front of muzzle retains several small blemishes from before restoration. Does not appear to have been re-sleeved. Original markings crisp & readable, very slight erosion to the two line "nickel steel" marking on barrel. Wood is excellent, oil finished, with extra fancy figure and fiddle grain in butt. Close fit to metal. Receiver extension not numbered. Not "taken down" for inspection. Letter from Cody Firearms Museum confirms this configuration as shipped on December 19th, 1904, other than factory supplied Lyman front sight. Condition is NRA Excellent (restored) *** C&R Firearm ***
