Antique lever-Action shotgon. Manufactured 1898. Vintage Browning designed shot-gun produced 1887-1899. 2 5/8" chamber. 32" round barrel with brass front bead. 5-rd tube magazine. Used blackpowder 2 5/8" shells. Breech-loading, rolling block lever-action. Used extensively by Law enforcement, and stagecoach Co's. "WRA Co" monogram on left receiver. Bottom tang stamped "Manufactured by the Winchester Repeating Arms co. New Haven, Conn. U.S.A. Pat. Feb. 16 & July. 1886." Two line Winchester address on top of barrel. Serial number stamped on lower receiver. Action is smooth. Rounded grip walnut stock and forearm are overall good/sound with minor scratches/ding, there is a couple of shallow gouges at the left bottom of the grip, Niedner Style checkered steel buttplate is very good. Blued/case metal finish has turned a gray/brown patina with no blue remaining. Bore is good, somewhat bright, dusty. The action is smooth, 2-click hammer action is crisp and the Winchester markings are a little feint, but clear/readable. Bore measures "IC".
