With custom large ring and fast fire level like "Riflemans" gun used in the iconic T.V. series. Bottom of the frame shows E marking for Ellis Merchantile early West L.A. Prop house that rented firearms and props of all sorts to movie studios and television productions. No specific documentation to any production could be found with this lot as it was recently purchased in west L.A. by a collector of movie props who could not document its fils use. The carbine shows & studo old re-blue and "antique aging" Nice fiddleback stripped walnut stocks that may help identify in stills. Rear sight changed. Bore is fair to poor proably from blanks. Action and mechanics are good. Every major production had "backup guns and props" as to not lose a valuable shoot for loss of a prop or malfunction. The armors on the rifleman series had at least 3 model 92's like this one ready in case on brokeor jammed as was often the case as they were not designed to twirl or fast fire. A chance exits this 92 could by I'd as back up for a major production but at least B Chuck Connors Rifleman Guns are currently known.
