Winchester Model 1892 Lever Action Rifle, #277095, .32 WCF cal., 24'' octagon barrel, blue finish, case hardened lever and hammer, straight grip walnut stock, crescent steel buttplate, brass blade front sight with semi-buckhorn rear sight. Upper tang reads ''MODEL 1892 / -WINCHESTER- / TRADE MARK''; barrel with two-line ''October 14, 1884'' patent date address. Mfg'd 1904. Rifle is in very good overall condition and shows normal light age and wear. Approx. 80%-85% original blue finish remains, some showing light toning. Receiver with speckled reddish brown oxidation. Buttplate has worn to a mostly silvery gray. Hammer and lever with approx 25%-30% case colors visible on the flat sides. Factory lettering is clean and clear. Wood fits tight at the adjoining metal surfaces and remains unsanded with scattered small scratches and normal handling marks for a rifle of this age. Action is crisp with a smooth hammer and trigger. Bore shows a small amount of surface peppering and wear to the rifling consistent with the overall condition of the rifle; bore rates very good overall. Est.: $1,200-$1,800. (C&R)
