Early lever action, take-down, repeating rifle chambered in .32-40 Winchester Center Fire, circa 1899. Features a blued 26" octagonal barrel, full tube magazine, blade front sight, adjustable semi-buckhorn rear sight, smooth trigger, checkered hammer spur, metal forend cap, plain walnut forend and straight grip shoulder stock with crescent buttplate. Finish retains 80% thin original bluing on barrel, and tube, with bare metal showing on edges, there are scattered areas of pitting on the right side of barrel, and tube. The receiver, lever, forearm cap, and buttplate are in the white, receiver has areas of pitting. The rear of the receiver extension has been ground around the bottom of the rear outside edge, and files all around the outer rear face, to allow a fit to the receiver, no visible numbers, appears mismatched to receiver. Stocks are good/sound with some scratches/dings. Markings are crisp. Action is smooth and bore is very good overall with minimal darkness in grooves. NRA Condition-Good. C&R firearm.
