Winchester Model 1894 Lever Action Repeating Cartridge Rifle, #521505, .32 W.S. CF cal., blued 26'' octagonal barrel with dovetailed bead-blade front and adjustable buckhorn sporting rear sights marked on left angled flat above the nosecap, ''Manufactured by the Winchester Repeating Arms. Co./New Haven, Conn. U.S.A. Patented August 21, 1894'' in two lines, and ''Nickel Steel Barrel/Especially for Smokeless Powder'' in two lines and ''32 W.S.'' ahead of breech; blued full-length under-barrel cartridge magazine tube; blued receiver is marked with an oval ''W'' proofmark at breech and ''Model 1894/ -Winchester-/Trade Mark Reg. in U.S. Pat. Off.'' in three lines on top tang; case hardened hammer and loop operating lever; oil-stained walnut forend and buttstock with crescent steel buttplate. Mfg'd 1910. Condition is very good, the barrel and magazine tube retaining approx. 85% original blue, the receiver a bluish-brown patina, the nosecap and buttplate gunmetal gray (with scattered moderate pitting on buttplate), the case hardening having silvered out. Stocks are solid and smooth with moderate handling marks on forend. Action is crisp; bore is brilliant with pronounced rifling. Est.: $400-$600. (C&R)
